INTERMEDIATE HANDSTANDS

Service Description

This intermediate-level workshop explores the following topics: Understanding your personal anatomy from your wrist, elbows, shoulders and how that affects your overall alignment. We will then work on your alignment as it pertains to shifting to one arm and the mechanics of the one arm handstand. Specific drills will be given to help with your handstand and or one arm. Prerequisites: Participants should have the ability to hold a freestanding (no wall, no spot) handstand for 30 seconds with legs together and straight. Jean-Luc Martin is the owner and founder of San Diego Circus Center (10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY) where he oversees several programs such as Preparatory, ProTrack (students seeking higher education and professional opportunities) and Master Classes (handstands, hand to hand, Teeterboard, Russian Bar, Lyra, straps and other disciplines). Jean-Luc had the privilege to perform several shows with Cirque du Soleil, Circus Knie and Pickle Family Circus and began his training at Ecole Nationale de Cirque. www.SanDiegoCircusCenter.org
