INTRO TO HANDSTAND

Service Description

This beginner workshop is entry-level and covers the fundamentals of a handstand. Understanding your overall alignment and how to improve it. You will learn drills that will be individualized to your needs. You will also learn to spot. Prerequisites: This workshop is for individuals who have spent time exploring a handstand but who do not have a solid freestanding handstand. Participants should be able to perform at least a 30 second handstand hold against the wall (face to the wall). A freestanding handstand is not a necessary prerequisite to participate. Jean-Luc Martin is the owner and founder of San Diego Circus Center (10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY) where he oversees several programs such as Preparatory, ProTrack (students seeking higher education and professional opportunities) and Master Classes (handstands, hand to hand, Teeterboard, Russian Bar, Lyra, straps and other disciplines). Jean-Luc had the privilege to perform several shows with Cirque du Soleil, Circus Knie and Pickle Family Circus and began his training at Ecole Nationale de Cirque. www.SanDiegoCircusCenter.org
