NOVICE CATEGORY

This category gives individuals new to circus a platform to compete in the festival.

The maximum routine limit is 2 1/2 minutes 

 

Please note the registration price is reduced as it DOES NOT INCLUDE A REHEARSAL BLOCK. For the novice category participants will not be permitted to include motor lift cues in their routine; their acts must remain static. On the aerial hoop participants will only be lifted to a height that allows their feet to clear the mat by no more than 6”. On the aerial silks participants will be required to remain under 18’ for the duration of their routine.

-Novice competitors are allowed a maximum performance time of 2 1/2 minutes

-Participants will not be penalized if they do not use their full allotted performance slots

-In Novice, only solos are permitted in the following disciplines: Aerial Hoop, Aerial Silks, Juggling, Contortion, Object Manipulation)

SOLO - $150 (2 acts receive 10% off both, 3 acts receive 15% off all 3 acts)

No Duos, Trios or group acts allowed.
