VIVA FEST 2023 ADDITIONAL INFO

NEW MUSIC: This year's Viva Fest will not be submitting music ahead of time. Each coach is responsible for music in a digital format (MP3, computer, tablet, smart phone etc) These electronic devices must have a display screen and must be on airplane mode when applicable. Playing music via bluetooth is not allowed. Devices should easily connect to a 1/4" headphone jack (adapters will be available). During rehearsals, you will be able to test music and volume.
And please remember No profanity/explicit language. We will have a music professional to assist you if needed.
Novice Solos are capped at 2 minutes 30 seconds
Student solos and duos are capped at 3 minutes
Emerging Pros solos and duos are capped at 4 minutes
Group acts in Emerging Pro or Student are capped at 5 minutes
WE DO NOT MAKE EXCEPTIONS TO TIME ALLOCATIONS - your track will be faded at the end of your allotted time slot.
Novice: No rehearsal time
Student solos/duos: 3 minutes this includes getting on and off stage, setting up equipment and any music testing (you may not be able to do your entire act)
Emerging Pro solos/duos and Student groups: 4 minutes this includes getting on and off stage, setting up equipment and any music testing (you may not be able to do your entire act)
Emerging Pro Groups (3+): 5 minutes this includes getting on and off stage, setting up equipment and any music testing (you may not be able to do your entire act)

The stage for flying aerial acts is 40' width X 28' depth with the rigging point being approximately 13 feet from downstage.
Apart from the first rehearsal/competition of the day, the Viva Fest allows running 40 minutes ahead of schedule.
Please be back stage and ready to perform up to 40 minutes before your scheduled time.
Ensure family and friends attending your performance are made aware of this rule.
